The Maiyaan Ceremony

La Dolce Haldi

A sunlit ritual of laughter, color, and blessings

Before the big celebrations begin, there’s a morning dedicated to laughter, love, and a whole lot of turmeric. The Maiyaan, or Haldi, is one of the happiest traditions in a Punjabi wedding. Family and friends gather to cover the couple in a golden paste that’s said to bring good luck, glowing skin, and maybe a few unflattering photos. It’s messy, meaningful, and full of heart; a way of surrounding the couple with blessings they can quite literally feel.

This year, our Maiyaan takes a little trip to the Amalfi Coast. Think Punjabi sunshine meeting Italian summer: lemon and blue under open skies, tables wrapped in soft white linen, and the kind of joy that doesn’t care if it gets a little on your clothes.

Palette of the Morning

Sunshine Yellow • Lemon • Electric Blue • Dark Ocean Blue • Soft White

What to Wear

Dress Code: Sunshine Ready

We’ve gone against everyone’s advice and decided to hold our Haldi outdoors in Malaysia, so expect a little heat, a little color, and a whole lot of joy. The goal is simple: comfort meets celebration - where you can laugh freely, get a little messy, and still look impossibly chic.
